Google Functions – not just a search engine!
There are many useful functions built within Google, many of which are unknown or rarely used.
The Google search box can be used as a calculator, for example type “10 x 20″ and press Enter.

More information about this Google utility can be found here http://www.google.com.au/intl/en/help/features.html#calculator.
You can also type “time Sydney” and the first result will be the local time.
Try finding definitions for words of interest. Using “define:” before any word you choose and Google will display definition results from a variety of sources. for example type “define: technology”.
You can also use Google for quick currency conversions, for example type “4 aud in usd”.
One final tip for now. Mostly users of Google search via the Web. Instead of this why not try searching via Images instead. You will be amazed at the different results that appear. You will likely come across completely different results from the traditional web search. This is particularly useful if you are engaged in any sort of research online.
