The ‘>’ (right arrow symbol) in Emails – how to remove it?

Often, particularly when emails are forwarded from one person to another you receive an email with a lot of >’s.

Select the text, including the ‘>‘, and select copy.

Paste into a Microsoft Word document.

Select Edit & Paste from the Microsoft Word menu.

In the section find what: type in the symbol ‘>‘.

Leave Replace with: Blank.

You may still need to format the text, but all the ‘>‘s’ will have disappeared.

You can now select the text and send it in an email without the ‘>‘.
